 | I am beyond overjoyed that our Mrs. Huff - Jane Bement Geesman - has been recognized for her work as the lead in my play, The Udmurts. She was stunning - funny, heartbreaking, tart, and vulnerable. And that it was a full year ago and the Portland Drammys remembered her amazing work makes this all the sweeter! From a message Jane wrote on Facebook: "On Monday night I got the surprise of my life at the Drammys. I tell you, winning an award like that blew my little mind, and pure joy and gratitude flooded me. Truly." Our director Andrew Klaus-Vineyard, cast members Andrea White, Samson Syharath, Steve Vanderzee, and William Wilson and dialect/voice coach Mary Mac and everyone at Defunkt Theatre Company should all be thrilled!
